Test Results

When you attend for a test of any kind you will be told how long you should expect to wait for the results.

Non-clinical staff are not qualified to interpret and answer questions about any tests that you may have recently had and therefore will only give out results that have already been checked by one of our Doctors. This prevents any incorrect information being given out over the telephone.

For patients who have access to online services they can see any test results that are on their record once the doctor has viewed the result and taken the appropriate action.

Patients who signed up to receive text message alerts will also get notifications via text that there is a new test result waiting for them and to either go online to view or to contact the surgery between 11:00 and 16:00 Monday to Friday to obtain their results.

Please note that we do have a strict policy regarding confidentiality and data protection. In this respect we will only give out results to the person they relate to unless that person has given prior written permission for their release or if they are not capable of understanding them.

The most common tests performed are

  • Blood tests
  • X-Ray tests
