Community Midwives

Pregnant WomanNewborn

Community midwives run two clinics a week at the practice. They are able to see new referrals from the GPs and can offer a comprehensive rage of antenatal services to pregnant patients.

In order to receive antenatal care you will first have to complete at least two pregnancy tests at home. Once you have confirmed you are pregnant book an appointment with the doctor. The doctor will refer you to the midwife for antenatal care.

The midwives will be able to answer any questions you may have regarding your new pregnancy.

Health Visitors

A health visitor is a registered nurse who has received training particularly related to babies, children and pregnant women. Their role is to provide families with children under five years old with support and advice around the general aspects of mental, physical and social wellbeing.
